It’s that time of year again. The Christmas music is playing, the trees and lights are up, we’re all in snuggly sweaters and drinking hot chocolate. In Seoul, this makes for the perfect opportunity to café hunt.

While patrolling my preferred hunting ground, Naver, I came across a cute little café called Ban Bossy located in Hapjeong. It looked adorable with its pastel colours, cute palm tree imitations, and large windows. It slightly reminded me of Zapangi, which we both loved, so Jenifer, my hunting partner, and I decided to head over to get a look at it.

We headed over after work, arriving around 6:30 pm. When we walked into the café we were met with a white Christmas tree that was lit up. Light fixtures were hung from the ceiling with care. All jokes aside, they actually ended up looking like Christmas ornaments. It suited the theme well, whether that was intended or not.

There are large windows that overlook the street, and a cute little couch tucked away in the corner. It looked like that would be a perfect place to escape for some quiet reading, or just for some good old’ people watching.

We were surprised that the café was empty. It was literally just Jennifer, the barista and myself. I guess that worked out well for us though because it meant we had free rein over the café. Which, we obviously took advantage of.

Jennifer ordered a café latte and I ordered a Matcha latte. I was very satisfied with my drink, it was sweet and delicious. Jennifer didn’t seem too impressed with her latte, but we both enjoyed the ambiance of the café and the Christmas atmosphere, and it made a nice spot for our favourite activity, photo taking.
