This gentle class will help you slow down, settle your mind, and prepare you for a goodnight’s sleep or a calm relaxing day. We work into the deep connective tissue and joints by holding poses for an extended period of time while focusing on deep controlled breathing. The practice is meant to be slow, gentle, and meditative and can help improve flexibility and mobility. It’s the perfect way to unwind from a stressful day and prepare for deeper, high-quality sleep.
Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures that offer the benefits of strength, endurance, and balance.
Introduction To Yoga For Beginners
The beginner class introduces the fundamental principles of alignment and breath work in a flow of postures linked together by the breath. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. This class is slow, gentle, and includes a lot of explanations and room for questions. Yoga is for everyone and not just the uber flexible, so this class is meant to foster an environment where students are supported, encouraged, and do not feel intimated.
Yoga For Seniors
Yoga is for everyone, no matter your fitness level or abilities. This class is comprised of gentle movements to get the body moving. The classes will be conducted on the floor but care will be taken to avoid extensive stress on the wrists and knees. These gentle postures are designed to help you build strength and increase mobility as you work within your body’s capabilities, and improve on them.
